1. About this policy
This policy explains how NOOR Travels Pty Ltd (ABN 73 703 628 906, ACN 703 628 906) ("NOOR Travels", "we", "us") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What we collect
We collect only the information we need to plan and book your travel. Depending on what you ask us to arrange, this may include:
- your name, email address and other contact details;
- the names, dates of birth and contact details of the people travelling with you;
- passport or identity details where a supplier requires them to issue a booking;
- travel dates, destinations, preferences and budget;
- payment and billing information needed to complete a booking;
- dietary, accessibility or medical requirements that you choose to share so a supplier can accommodate them.
Health and similar details are sensitive information under the APPs. We collect sensitive information only with your consent and only where it is needed for your booking.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you, usually by email or through the enquiry form on our website, which opens an email addressed to us. Where you book for other people, you confirm that you have their consent to share their details with us. You may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general enquiries, but we cannot make bookings without accurate traveller details.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare itineraries and quotes;
- make, change and manage bookings with travel suppliers;
- send you confirmations, itineraries and important travel information;
- process payments and keep business and tax records;
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for an unrelated purpose without your consent, unless the law permits or requires it.
5. Disclosure to suppliers
To make a booking we must pass the relevant details to the supplier providing the service, such as an airline, accommodation provider or tour operator, and to payment processors. Those suppliers handle your information under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information to our professional advisers, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
6. Overseas disclosure
Because travel often involves suppliers outside Australia, your information may be disclosed to overseas recipients in the countries you are travelling to, or where a supplier's systems are based. Before disclosing information to an overseas supplier we take reasonable steps, consistent with APP 8, so that it is handled appropriately. By asking us to book services provided overseas, you consent to that disclosure.
7. Cookies and website data
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other sites. Our hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser type, to deliver and secure the site. We do not use that information to identify you.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, such as tax record-keeping, and then destroy or de-identify it.
9. Direct marketing
We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them. If you do, every message will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us.
10. Access and correction
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Email ceo@noortravelstec.site. We will respond within a reasonable period, and if we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing.
11. Complaints
If you think we have breached the APPs, email us with the details at ceo@noortravelstec.site. We will look into it and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
